What happens with my data?
Your data is sent to our server in France and stays within the European Union at all times. We don't share, sell, or process your data outside the EU. Your account information is stored securely and used only to provide the monmonmon service. We're GDPR-native by architecture, not just by policy.
Do I need to install anything?
Yes, a lightweight agent runs on each device you want to monitor. It's a small menu bar application on macOS that checks encryption, firewall, and malware protection status. It only reads system status. It cannot control, modify, or wipe any device.
How is this different from MDM?
MDM (Mobile Device Management) tools give IT full control over devices: they can install software, restrict apps, wipe data, and track location. monmonmon is monitoring-only. We check three things: is disk encryption on, is the firewall active, and is malware protection running. That's it. No control, no tracking, no surveillance.
Who builds monmonmon?
monmonmon is built by Nerd as a Service B.V., a Netherlands-based company. It started as a companion service to yrso.app, our GRC suite for SaaS startups. The team is based in the Netherlands and Finland. Learn more on our team page.
